This week, Wacom announced the latest evolution of the new Cintiq pen display series. A Modern Redesign for Modern Creators
The new Wacom Cintiq boasts a slimmer, more streamlined design, making the creative screens more portable and desk-friendly. Specifically, the 16-inch model has been reduced from 25mm to just 15mm in thickness, while the 24-inch versions are now under 21mm thick, compared to the previous 40mm. As a result, this sleek, boxier aesthetic not only enhances portability but also provides a more comfortable drawing experience on flat surfaces.
Enhanced Display Features
All three models in the new lineup feature 2K resolution, offering sharper visuals and more vibrant colours. The colour accuracy has been improved to 100% sRGB coverage, ensuring your creations look exactly as intended. The response time has been reduced to 12ms, providing a smoother drawing experience. Additionally, the etched glass screens reduce glare and offer a natural pen-to-paper feel.
Introducing the Cintiq 24 Touch
For the first time ever, Wacom brings multi-touch capabilities to the standard Cintiq line with the new Cintiq 24″ creative screen. This model allows artists to zoom, scroll, and rotate their canvas using intuitive finger gestures, helping you reach your creative goals faster in the way that works best for you.
Improved Connectivity and Flexibility
The new Cintiq models have transitioned from the traditional 3-in-1 cables to separate HDMI and USB-C ports. Notably, the Cintiq 16 can now operate entirely through a single USB-C connection, simplifying setup and reducing cable clutter.
